कान्त्या काञ्चनसन्निभां हिमगिरिप्रख्यैश्चतुर्भिर्गजैः
हस्तोत्क्षिप्तहिरण्मयामृतघटैरासिच्यमानां श्रियम् ।
बिभ्राणां वरमब्जयुग्ममभयं हस्तैः किरीटोज्ज्वलां
क्षौमाबद्ध नितम्बबिम्बललितां वन्देऽरविन्दस्थिताम् ॥ १॥
माणिक्यप्रतिमप्रभां हिमनिभैस्तुङ्गैश्चतुर्भिर्गजैः

Her radiance resembles molten gold.
हिमगिरिप्रख्यैश्चतुर्भिर्गजैः हस्तोत्क्षिप्तहिरण्मयामृतघटैरासिच्यमानां श्रियम्
Shri is bathed by four elephants, white as snow-capped mountains, who raise golden pots of nectar in their trunks to anoint her.
बिभ्राणां वरमब्जयुग्ममभयं हस्तैः किरीटोज्ज्वलां
She bears in her hands the boon-granting gesture, a pair of lotuses, and the gesture of fearlessness, her crown shining brilliantly.
क्षौमाबद्ध नितम्बबिम्बललितां वन्देऽरविन्दस्थिताम्
Her hips are gracefully wrapped in silken garments — I bow to her, seated upon a lotus.

माणिक्यप्रतिमप्रभां हिमनिभैस्तुङ्गैश्चतुर्भिर्गजैः
Shining like a ruby image, she is attended by four tall elephants white as snow.
हस्ताग्राहितरत्नकुम्भसलिलैरासिच्यमानां मुदा
They joyfully bathe her with waters from jeweled pots held at their trunk-tips.
हस्ताब्जैर्वरदानमम्बुजयुगाभीतीर्दधानां हरेः कान्तां
In her lotus hands she bears the boon-giving gesture, a pair of lotuses, and fearlessness — she, the beloved of Hari (Vishnu).
