The Bhairavi Dhyanam is a powerful meditation on Goddess Bhairavi—the radiant, terrifying, and compassionate form of the Divine Mother in Tantric tradition. She represents the fire of transformation, the power of fearless speech, and the dissolution of all illusions.
Bhairavi is the fifth of the Dasha Mahavidyas, ruling over time (Kala), annihilation, and the raw energy of kundalini. She is worshipped by those seeking liberation, courage, and mastery over life and death.

Bhairavi is one of the Dasha Mahavidyas, representing the power of destruction of ignorance. Unlike milder forms of the Goddess, Bhairavi is both terrifying and blissful.
Bhairavi represents the courage to face annihilation without fear. She is the goddess of tantric initiation, often described as “the one who burns away impurities instantly.”
Bhairavi is not a gentle, comforting mother –
She is the mother who destroys what no longer serves your highest good.
She teaches:
Meditate on her to unlock:
She does not hold your hand – She lights your soul on fire and sets you free.
